Scientific scope
AlphaGeometry2 expanded geometric language, symbolic deduction and knowledge-sharing search, reporting solutions to 42/50 formalized 2000–2024 IMO geometry cases, up from 27/50 for AlphaGeometry1 on that set. This assesses arXiv 2502.03544v3, the December 2025 version. The reported 42/50 result concerns 50 formalized cases drawn from 45 IMO geometry problems, not 50 new open problems. The system combines a customized Gemini 1.5 language model with DDAR2 symbolic search. Formalization success, diagram generation and shortlist benchmarks are separate measurements with their own denominators. Human-authored mathematical libraries and problem translations remain essential. Inequalities are not implemented in the reported system. WRS has not replayed these experiments or independently certified the translations.
