Syncopate/AutoOverlap: chunk-centric compute–communication overlap

Introduced communication chunks that connect a local Triton kernel with a communication plan, transforming tile order and selecting transfer backends while tuning chunk size to overlap fine-grained computation and transfers.

What is recorded here?

Introduced communication chunks that connect a local Triton kernel with a communication plan, transforming tile order and selecting transfer backends while tuning chunk size to overlap fine-grained computation and transfers.

Scientific scope

One renamed/revised preprint family: original AutoOverlap v1 has five authors, Syncopate v4 six. Requires annotations and a supplied/imported/template communication plan; it does not infer every global parallel plan from nothing. Backend/topology/tuning costs remain. The v4 abstract says overlap around one fused compute kernel, not that all communication must be inside a single kernel.
