What you will make

Check the first five Table 1 objects, in printed source order, that are absent from the original WRS five-row sample. Preserve names, distance units, velocity signs and page location.

Five additional rows from Hubble (1929), Table 1, printed page 169. No fitted law or new measurements; Table 1 is not the corrected Figure 1.

  1. Open Table 1 on printed page 169, PDF page 3.
  2. Compare the first existing five-row example with the table and skip its objects.
  3. Read the first five remaining rows, including both Magellanic Cloud labels.
  4. Check the distance column and each velocity sign, then report agreement or a correction against the continuation example.

Check the result

  • Exactly five additional objects are selected in source order, without duplicating the original sample.
  • The units, negative velocities and printed page location remain explicit.
  • The result is a source check; it does not claim to estimate the modern expansion rate.

Stop when: Stop when a digit or source page cannot be read. Report the ambiguous cell instead of filling it from memory.
