What changed
Separate experiments by Xia and Han and colleagues and by Guo and colleagues observed superconducting transport in twisted bilayer WSe2. In a 3.65-degree device, Xia and Han and colleagues found zero resistance near half-band filling, a BKT transition near 180 mK and an electric-field-tuned boundary toward a correlated insulator. In a distinct 5.0-degree device, Guo and colleagues found zero resistance, nonlinear current response, a BKT scale near 395 mK and a 50-percent normal-resistance transition near 426 mK. The latter superconducting pocket lay adjacent to anomalous metallic transport interpreted as magnetic reconstruction.
Scientific scope
The two experiments used different twist angles, devices, temperature definitions and band regimes; their numbers should not be pooled. The reported superconducting signatures concern those devices and conditions. Magnetic order and pairing mechanisms are inferred from transport and modelling rather than directly observed.
Evidence
The linked original works support the scoped statement and contribution attribution. WRS has not independently replayed experiments or reconstructed a full mathematical proof. The two experiments used different twist angles, devices, temperature definitions and band regimes; their numbers should not be pooled. The reported superconducting signatures concern those devices and conditions. Magnetic order and pairing mechanisms are inferred from transport and modelling rather than directly observed.
