The linked sources identify this contribution and its scope. WRS has not independently reconstructed the scientific claims. The target is Lovelace’s 1843 translation and notes. Menabrea wrote the translated article and Babbage designed the engine; disputed “first programmer” shorthand is not used as the scientific claim.
