Contribution grade

Visual attention and geometric neural modules · Human-designed research method or resource

Reference score145,000Provisional editorial estimate of this exact contribution; its grade is assessed separately.

What changed

Combined an input-conditioned localization network, parameterized sampling grid and differentiable sampler into a trainable feature-map transformation module.

Scientific scope

Combined an input-conditioned localization network, parameterized sampling grid and differentiable sampler into a trainable feature-map transformation module. Inherits geometric resampling and earlier attention/transformation models. No transformation labels are required in studied classification tasks, but task supervision remains. Differentiable learned warps do not ensure exact invariance/equivariance, global registration or unrestricted geometric transformation recovery.

Evidence

The linked original sources describe the stated contribution and its evidence limits. WRS has not independently rerun the experiments or certified a proof.
