What changed

The report integrates continuous sounding tracks into a reusable physiographic diagram/classification workflow and organizes North Atlantic ridge/valley morphology, while retaining interpolation and interpretive limits.

Scientific scope

The report integrates continuous sounding tracks into a reusable physiographic diagram/classification workflow and organizes North Atlantic ridge/valley morphology, while retaining interpolation and interpretive limits. The target is the selected physical mapping/morphology contribution in the 1959 report, whose first sheet covers 17–50 degrees north; it is not a complete world-ocean map or every earlier chart. Between-track relief is interpolated/extrapolated and explicitly speculative.40:1 exaggerated profiles and small map scale limit what features are represented; positional/data-quality limits remain. Plate 1 and the figures were not visually audited, and no raw sounding reconstruction was run. Ridge origin remains unresolved in the inspected text; this is not a complete plate-tectonics proof. The three source bylines do not absorb the named expedition, navigation, plotting and recorder-development teams, nor later maps or theories. No life-science observations are curated by this target.

Evidence

Source-linked, scoped account of the original work. The published scope states the scientific assumptions and remaining verification limits. WRS has not independently certified the full proof, experimental result or system benchmark.
