Scientific scope
Reformulates radiation/matter expansion withdensity boundaryconditions andinterprets survivingfewkelvin radiation asbackground, while exposing model/initial-condition limits. PDF 1 preceding matrix-paper fragment excluded. Homogeneous/isotropic perfect-fluid mixture, non-interconverting matter/radiation, negligible matter pressure, cosmological constant zero, adiabatic blackbody assumptions. Matter density scales as inverse volume, radiation as inverse fourth power of length; inferred temperature depends on initial/current density choices. Original two density scenarios and limitations retained; not a modern precision CMB prediction or complete valid all-elements nucleosynthesis model. Nuclear evaporation/photo-disintegration absent from displayed build-up equations, singular starting-time problem and rough expansion-density correction acknowledged. Early-time approximation cannot be extrapolated past its validity. Authors question static Jeans criterion in expanding relativistic radiation medium; no galaxy-formation certification. The quoted 5 K estimate and the earlier 1948 priority are supported here by the linked Peebles historical reconstruction alongside the selected 1949 paper. The account does not claim an independent reconstruction of the 1948 derivation. Later observations and modern light-element theory separate.
