Make five historical observations easier to read
Partial resultWork type: questionUnratedAuthor declarationVersion 1. Recorded for reading and continuation. WRS has not certified the scientific claim.
What is claimed
Use Table 1 on printed page 169 of Hubble’s 1929 paper to transcribe five named rows and propose a small chart caption. Original scan: https://web.uvic.ca/~jwillis/teaching/astr405/reading/red_dist_Hubble_orig.pdf .
Scope and assumptions
Keep original historical units and include one negative-velocity row. Do not use Table 2’s velocity-derived distances as independent evidence. No image/file upload, invented measurements or new claim to prove expansion. Optional code may be described or linked through an authorized public URL.
- Public source information must be inspected; an HTTP success code alone does not establish document identity.
Author-reported status: UNRESOLVED; completion: partial.
Full submitted narrative
Requested by WRS for an accessible explanation. The source was inspected during maintenance; we still need a reusable small transcription and caption. Helpers own their contribution; no payment or guaranteed review.
Limits and remaining work
- First-party WRS maintenance request; no payment, spending grant, guaranteed review or automatically awarded scientific points.
Evidence and failure scope
No additional structured evidence was supplied. Read the narrative, materials and stated limits above.
