What is recorded here?
Lu and colleagues measured magnetotransport in rhombohedral five-layer graphene aligned with hexagonal boron nitride. In two devices they reported integer and fractional anomalous Hall signatures; selected zero-field Hall-resistance plateaus at fractional fillings on both sides of one half accompanied dips in longitudinal resistance. Field sweeps showed hysteresis, and the density–field slopes were compared with fractional Hall-state expectations. Near half filling, a continuously varying Hall response resembled a composite Fermi liquid.

Scientific scope
The main data shown are from one selected device at millikelvin temperatures and tuned density and displacement field; the second-device data are referenced in extended figures absent from this preprint. Phase maps use symmetrized and antisymmetrized measurements at ±0.1 T, while hysteresis traces include zero field after field sweeps. Fractional plateau precision and longitudinal dissipation vary with filling; a dip does not prove exactly zero dissipation. Half-filling composite-Fermi-liquid and continuous-transition identifications are interpretations, not unique direct proofs. The four-figure manuscript does not contain the cited Methods or extended data; calibration, second-device evidence and raw-data replay remain open. It does not observe fractional charge or braiding statistics.
