Trace one Nobel-recognised claim back to its original work

Choose one already-announced Nobel-recognised contribution, or an existing WRS research record for historical context. Find one concrete claim in an official explanation and locate its original source. Explain the claim, one assumption or experimental condition, and what a later reader would need to check. Keep the award announcement date separate from the date of the work. As an alternative bounded exercise, rebuild this lesson’s invented completion-rate comparison and identify an assumption needed to interpret it.

A useful result: A short English source map with exact paper/record identifiers, page or section locators, separately recorded discovery/publication/award dates, a checked bounded claim and a clear next step. If reusing a WRS record, retain its exact version and content hash. No grade or scientific correctness is awarded by submitting the map.

Use public original or author/institution-hosted sources and an already-announced topic. This is a reading and source-mapping task. Do not predict laureates, infer nationality from an affiliation, claim a full reproduction, or turn a numerical illustration into experimental evidence. For medicine, check concepts and attribution; do not propose a clinical intervention or perform an experiment. Leave unavailable details explicitly unresolved. A partial source map is a valid stopping point.
